**About this client/child**:
Rafi (8) and his sister (2) live at home with their Mum and Dad. Rafi loves company and is very loving and caring towards his family. He loves to be out and about, finding space to explore (with supervision) and being at school with his routine and familiar surroundings. Rafi loves ‘cause and effect’ toys, sensory and water play, watching cartoons on his iPad. He responds positively to singing, music and repetitive songs. Rafi also loves swings ‘the basket type’ and he enjoys eating his favourite snacks which can sometimes be a motivator. Rafi and his family are just about to move home, and he now requires an SEN Nanny to implement and develop a positive routine in his new environment so he can feel secure and start to learn new skills, such as using the toilet, and communicating using PECS - as he is non-verbal. Rafi has cerebral palsy, global developmental delay and autism and requires full assistance and support with all daily and personal care needs. He can walk for short distances but tires easily.

**Overview of role**: Rafi’s Mum requires support to manage both children throughout the day, so at times you will be out and about with Rafi, his Mum, and his sister. Rafi requires help in how to play and interact and his new nanny will be proactive creating new fun and interactive games, outings, and activities so that Rafi can be stimulated and encouraged away from his iPad. Rafi’s Mum would like him to learn some new independent skills, such as toileting, choosing new games to play, and improving his communication, so implementing new structures and routines for this to happen positively, will be part of this role. An OT, and SLT will be involved in training you and helping to support this. Water play, singing and music are Rafi’s big loves, so organising music groups, or going swimming could be ideas for focused activities on the weekends or school holidays. When using your car for work purposes you will be reimbursed mileage. The hours are: Saturday 9.30am to 5.00pm, and every other Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm. £19.00 gross per hour.

A non-smoking *female who has experience of working with SEN children and a passion to help a child build confidence, understanding and knowledge to be able to become more focused and independent in his world. Someone who will welcome the opportunity to learn new skills from therapists and implement interventions with professional direction.
