Responsibilities:
The job is for our converted horse box located in the Shambles Market, York. It requires someone who can work in a small space and at times a very busy environment and being able to cope well under pressure.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and iced drinks.
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment to prepare beverages
- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in beverage preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and horse box.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register and card reader.
- Help assist with food preparation and ensure food safety guidelines are followed
- Keep track of inventory and restock supplies as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a barista (minimum 3 years) or in a similar role-you will be required to work in a very busy and fast paced environment so you will have to cope well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
