**Head of Transport**

The Head of Transport will be responsible for managing the middle mile trunking operation as well as the compliance and procurement of a fleet of single car and multi-car transporters alongside a first class operational and driving team. Reporting into the Logistics Director, you will work as part of the Logistics team with the responsibility for a key function in this exciting and rapidly growing business.

Measurement of success will be based around a number of measurable KPI's including vehicle up-time, compliance to regulatory requirements, fleet levels to support business current volumes and expected growth, safety measures, efficiency and cost control.

**What you will be doing**
- Impact your career by taking overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant management of the home delivery and trunking fleets
- Delivering great customer service through the Middle Mile trunking operation, the right cars to the right locations at the right time.
- Ensuring all fleet compliance requirements are completed in a timely manner and to the required standards.
- Impact your colleagues by leading the improvements in driving standards across the team
- Liaising with other Cazoo Managers to share best practice and ensure the fleet team are providing the service required to the Home Delivery and Middle Mile operations team
- Own the wider Cazoo management process of driving fines, car and driver licensing requirements and insurance claims
- Manage and develop a high performing team that meets OKRs and delivers best practice results
- Work with the HR and Health and Safety teams to ensure a great employee and customer experience
- Maximise the fleets impact - ensure delivery vehicles are off the road for as little time as possible
- Drive enhancements for delivery fleet in line with feedback from the team

**Required skills and experience**
- Thorough understanding of the HGV regulatory requirements - both maintenance and operating requirements
- Profit & Loss and operational ownership of a national multi-site fleet
- National Transport Manager CPC
- Great people management skills
- Good negotiation skills - both internal and external
- Good communication skills to enable you to get the job done
- Problem solver who likes a challenge
- Experience of operating in highly customer centric businesses
- Experience of working in a dynamic and changing environment
