Trainee Ink Kitchen

**Role**:
A vacancy exists for the role of Trainee Ink Technician in our Warrenpoint Plant.

The successful applicant will initially work alongside an experienced ink technician who will offer hands on training and guidance.

**Key aspects off the role include**:

- Review of the daily production plan to ensure that correct levels of inks are dispensed and available.
- Ensuring the quality of ink dispensed agrees specification.
- Manage Inks returns by recording and storing for re-use.
- Control of Ink Stock.
- Colour Matching and the use of digital colour control.

It is expected that following 6 months of hands on training the applicant should reach a level of competence where they would be expected to manage the Ink Department on their own initiative.

The ink department is a key area of the packaging industry and is recognised as such within Saica Pack.

**The following are considered to be essential criteria for the role**:

- Good communication skills both in a written and oral form.
- A high degree of self motivation and ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to make decisions against clearly defined parameters.
- Ability to liaise and interact with others and clearly understand and interpret their requirements.

**Salary**: £13.77 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
