Pharmacy Dispenser

**The opportunity**

We have opportunities for bright and enthusiastic full-time dispenser or trainee dispenser to join our pharmacy teams at HA McParland Ltd, 182 High Street, Crowthorne, Berks RG45 7AP

**The role**

Pharmacy dispensers work as part of a pharmacy team under the direction of a registered pharmacist. The role includes:

- Taking in and handing out prescriptions
- Dispensing prescriptions
- Using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- Ordering items
- Selling over-the-counter medicines
- Answering customers questions face to face or by phone
- Preparing packing, and labelling medicines
- Referring problems or queries to the pharmacist

**Requirements**:

- You will have excellent customer service skills and be adept at sorting out queries over the phone and in person
- You will be keen to learn and able to multi-task
- You will have, or be willing to work towards, Dispenser (NVQ level 2). Training is on the job and online
- You will be competent at, or willing to learn about, ordering and checking of received goods
- You will be competent at, or willing to learn about, communicating with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter queries

**Hours**

Full time - Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm with an hour for lunch.

**Salary**

£8.60- £11.44 per hour for trainee. Qualified dispenser salary depends on experience and qualifications.
