Blackthorn is a young, innovative family-run Scottish sea salt producer. We are excited to be available in multiple retail department stores, farmshops, delis, zero waste, gifting and lifestyle stores across the UK, with a growing export presence. Blackthorn also has a significant, growing hospitality and manufacturing customer base.
We are a small team, supported by a larger enterprise. Our strategies are exciting and ambitious - we are looking for an ethusiastic marketing associate to join us and help us grow to the next level whilst keeping the quality, integrity and pride that we have in our product and brand. Recent marketing highlights for Blackthorn have been its inclusion in a number of tv programmes, magazine features, podcasts, gift guides and our community mini foodie festival, the Blackthorn Big Day Out which welcomed over 1,400 visitors.
**Your Key Roles and Responsibilities**
- Work closely with team to help develop brand strategies, marketing plans and budget
- Manage social media accounts ‘in the Blackthorn way’ - proficiency and efficiency at responding to all comments/ posts with intrigue and brand integrity
- Creating posts/ stories/ blogs, visual and written
- Creating ads/flyers/brochures etc for print and digital
- Social channels ad management and reporting
- Occasional mail shots for new products etc.
- Rolling out website content updates
- Develop/carry out/report on marketing campaigns
- On site organisation, set up and attendance of trade visits and Blackthorn Events
- Support and occasional attendance at sales events
- Attendance at 3rd party marketing and awareness events
- Customer service and sales support
- Identify opportunities
**You need to be**:
Friendly and efficient - you will be talking with customer enquiries and the public, so need to act as a brand ambassador for the Blackthorn.
Flexible and reactive, part of a small team with the need to ‘think on your feet’, motivated
Skilled at copy writing
An ideas person with a creative mindset
Passionate about food, excited
Strong and confident verbal communication skills
Able to work independently and within a busy team
**You should have**:
2 years of marketing experience - able to demonstrate a solid understanding of marketing channels
Open to self-learning
Ability to meet deadlines, organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
