Food Technology Teacher

Reed Education are seeking an experienced and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our team.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in the areas of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Developing and delivering lessons that cover a range of topics related to food technology, including food safety and hygiene, nutrition, food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Designing and implementing innovative and engaging lesson plans and teaching materials that are suitable for students of different learning abilities and backgrounds.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enable students to achieve their full potential.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies that align with the school's objectives and policies.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in food technology and related industries, and incorporating this knowledge into your teaching practice.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification.
- Relevant experience in teaching food technology at the high school level.
- Knowledge of current trends and issues in food technology.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
