Sewing Machinist/designer

Responsibilities:

- Design and manufacture specialist covers for vehicle boots, van and lorry cabs
- Produce design drawings and specification sheets
- Operate various machinery
- Monitor the machines during the machining process
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a machinist or similar role
- Proficient in reading design patterns and selecting appropriate fabrics
- Ability to use hand cutters and precision instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
