Licensing Processing Officer

£12.47 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Licensing Processing Officer required to issue selective licenses.

3. To verify the License by checking against other databases and highlight any discrepancies of licences identified to senior officers.

5. To provide advice to enquiries made by landlords, letting agents and tenants regarding property licensing including the Public register.

6. To process Property Licensing enquiries logged on the Council’s software system, Inboxes or made by phone within the prescribed limit.
7. To keep accurate electronic records of communications /correspondence in line with the Council’s corporate governance policy.
8. To ensure the integrity of the information management systems operated by the Housing Improvement Team in order to assist performance management, data protection and to support service improvement and improve efficiency and value for money.

1. Experience of effective joint working, inter agency liaison and operating in a demanding working environment.
2. Experience of working on own initiative.
3. Experience of developing and sustain effective working relationship and communication, both internally and externally with a range of contacts.

5. Experience of working in a team responsible for the enforcement of standards in private sector housing and the use of risk based inspection programmes.
6. Experience of working in a finance service in a large public sector organisation.
