Hillyard House is our luxury hotel with 20 immaculate rooms, set at the gates of Castlewellan Forest Park and attracts visitors from across Ireland and the world alike. Our Fresh Food Centres are independent grocery stores that serve the communities of Castlewellan, Warrenpoint and Rostrevor.

We are currently seeking a Head of Finance to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ACA or CIMA qualified accounting professional with experience of financial planning in a commercial environment, to join our organisation.

The Role

As the Head of Finance, you will oversee our organisation’s financial strategy and management, ensuring that we remain financially healthy and continue to grow.

Specifically, you will oversee our financial control and reporting systems, including managing our budgets, long-term forecasts, management and annual accounts.

Providing expert leadership, you will identify and mitigate risks or inefficiencies, whilst ensuring our legal responsibilities are fulfilled, including adequate insurance cover.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Oversee all VAT, CIS, PAYE processes and returns
- Manage our Asset Register
- Manage our payroll functions and accounts payable on Sage
- Process our sales and purchase ledger

About You

**To be considered as the Head of Finance, you will need**:

- To be a CIMA or ACA (or equivalent) fully qualified accountant
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position
- Demonstrable experience of financial planning in a commercial environment
- Experience of working with other business support functions to deliver company growth
- Experience of developing and implementing financial strategies
- Knowledge of financial approaches to deliver the greatest commercial gain
- A strong understanding of all relevant legislation
- Commercial acumen
- Excellent risk management and cost control skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A third-level degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
