**Job Title**: School Caretaker

**Position Type**: Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to start at a school as a School Caretaker. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the education community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Security and Safety**: Ensure the safety and security of the school premises during your shift. Lock and unlock doors, gates, and windows as required. Monitor surveillance systems and respond to any security concerns.
- ** Maintenance**: Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep of school facilities. Report larger maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities.
- ** Cleaning**: Maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
- ** Groundskeeping**: Keep the school grounds tidy and presentable. This includes maintaining outdoor spaces, removing litter, and clearing walkways during inclement weather.
- ** Assist with Events**: Set up and take down equipment and furniture for school events, meetings, and activities.
- ** Health and Safety**: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, including proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is a plus.
