**Apprentice HSEQ Advisor - North**

Health and safety advisors work in a variety of sectors and are crucial in the Engineering and Construction Industry.

HSEQ Advisors are responsible for providing health & safety guidance to all relevant stakeholders within the business to ensure the company operates in line with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation..

**Apprentice & Job Specification**

The HSEQ Advisor will work with the management and delivery team of Bilfinger to advise on the statutory health, safety and environmental requirements that affect the company’s operation.

They will lead in ensuring the legal and company HSEQ requirements are implemented. The HSEQ Advisor will also assist in the development, review and implementation of safe systems of work.

Other responsibilities can include:

- Providing accurate and timely HSEQ Advice and support to the Bilfinger Team.
- Ensuring compliance with the Bilfinger HSEQ Business Management Systems.
- Embed a healthy HS culture across the Bilfinger organisation.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries and illness.
- Leading accident and injury investigations, in order to identify the cause and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Leading on Inter-departmental communications relating to safety issues.
- Developing risk assessments

**Qualifications**
- GCSE or equivalent (Grade 4 or better) in English Language and Mathematics is essential

**Interpersonal Skills**
- Individuals need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, IT skills, number skills, analytical skills, demonstrate attention to detail, logical attitude and be a team player

**Personal Qualities**
- Individuals must be able to demonstrate a willingness and passion to develop skills within industry, be hardworking, confident and organised
