**About the Trust**

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.

The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Contribute to the provision of a professional and responsive People service.
- Working with a Strategic Business Partner to a designated Division to deliver timely and complex HR advice and guidance.
- Support managers and employees on the full range of People employment relations issues.
- Create and add value to the overall performance of the People Directorate and wider Trust.
- Support the development, implementation and embedding of the People strategy, policy and practice in accordance with legislation and best practice, working in conjunction with staff side/trade union partners.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Generalist HR knowledge base and experience.
- Experience in managing employee relation cases
- Sound understanding of HR policies and procedures and employment legislation
- Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence
- Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks
- This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or Professional HR Qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
