**Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2 (KS2) Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Class**:

**Job Duties**:

- Provide support and assistance to students in a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) class
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with ASC
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with ASC
- Support students with communication, social interaction, and sensory needs
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to meet the needs of students with ASC

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with children with SEN

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and strategies to support students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards students with ASC

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position, Monday to Friday during school hours
- Work primarily within a Key Stage 2 (KS2) ASC class
- Will involve some flexibility in working hours to attend meetings or training

Driving is desireable however there the school is walking distance from the train station.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
