**Responsibilities**
- To be the first point of contact for patients either on the telephone or face-to-face
- Booking / scheduling appointments
- Answering incoming telephone queries
- Data entry - including maintaining and updating patients' records
- Dealing with incoming correspondence both via post and electronically
- Processing prescriptions and helping patients with prescription queries
- Registering of new patients
- Arranging interpreting services / transport as required for patients
- Processing of medical records
- Acting as a chaperone when required
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent listening skills
- Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Maintains Professionalism at all times
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to multi task and work under pressure
- Previous General Practice or experience in a medical environment would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Part-time hours: 15-20 per week
**Salary**: £10.00-£10.40 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All patients are required to wear face coverings when attending the surgery. All staff also wear face masks and where appropriate PPE. Social distancing is in place and a procedure are followed for the cleaning of workstations and contact points.
