Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Safeguarding Partnership Boards are recruiting a part time (22.2 hpw) Safeguarding Partnership Officer role to join their service. The role is responsible for progressing the priority work streams for the countywide Safeguarding Children Partnership Board and Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board. Ensuring that the supporting delivery plans are progressed and lead to systemic change.

You will work in partnership with the priority work stream chairs to manage and progress the work stream meetings and be responsible for managing specific projects on behalf of the Safeguarding Partnership Boards, delivering core work and establishing and delivering project plans.

In addition, you will lead on Partnership Board engagement work with children, young people, parents/ carers, vulnerable adults and wider communities by facilitating focus groups and running feedback surveys

This is a busy high profile role, working closely with the Head of Service for the Partnership Boards, Chairs of the priority work streams and senior officers across the multi-agency partnerships in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and beyond.

Working in a challenging area the role requires the ability to deal sensitively and confidentially with often distressing information relating to children and adults who been abused.

We are looking for someone who has significant experience of working within a multi-agency child and/ or adult abuse environment and a strong track record of dealing with the high emotional demands this brings.

You will need an excellent track record of project management including, reviewing and compiling complex and detailed information from a range of sources. The ability to effectively manage competing workloads and priorities to deliver work to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.
