**Principal Objective of - Family Support Link**

Family Support Link is a dedicated service in Northamptonshire, providing free and confidential support to family members, carers, and loved ones affected by another’s substance misuse. Committed to empowering individuals and fostering healthier communities, Family Support Link is seeking a Community Outreach Worker to join our team.

**Principal Objective of the role**:
**Key Responsibilities of the role**:
**1. Community Outreach**:
Become a visible presence within communities, holding sessions to raise awareness and building an understanding of how people feel and what their barriers are to engaging with treatment, recovery, and family support.

Support the development of tailored services for family members and support family members to access these services.

Identify and support Community Champions from the communities to provide a key link and help share information and provide a bridge to understanding.

Develop peer support and peer led groups within the community to support families and loved ones within a culturally appropriate context, enabling the community to support the community and starting to break down the barriers of stigma around substance misuse.

Identify drug/and or alcohol users and provide a link relationship to understand what help they may be open to receiving and providing a “warm handshake” referral to recover and treatment options.

**2. Data Management and Reporting**:
Gather a wide range of data on the reasons why people don't engage with services and a much deeper understanding of where these barriers come from and what might help to address them in the long term: giving valuable insights it what may need to change.

**3. Communication and liaison**:
Maintain positive relationships with partner organisations and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.

Respond sensitively to client enquiries on our telephone helpline and arrange for appropriate support where necessary.

**You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: £25,876.50 per year
