This is the time for action - we need to move at pace and reform our energy system - to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people.

Reporting to the Head of Talent, Capability & DEI, the Team Coordinator role will undertake a range of coordination, administration, communication, and reporting activities to support the effective and efficient running of the wider team.

This role is based from Warwick, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

**About us**:
The ESO has a key role to play in tackling climate change by transitioning GB’s electricity system to net zero. We already operate the fastest decarbonising electricity system in the world, with an ambition for zero carbon operation by 2025. And by 2035, we want to run 100% clean, green energy, all the time.

**Becoming the National Energy System Operator**
In Summer of 2024, the ESO will transition to becoming the National Energy System Operator, or NESO for short. Previously denoted as the Future System Operator (or FSO), the new National Energy System Operator will be the independent body responsible for planning Great Britain’s electricity and gas networks and operating the electricity system.

The ESO, including all of its existing roles, will be at the heart of the new National Energy System Operator. As NESO, we will build on our existing roles, capabilities, and ways of working significantly to create an organisation the energy system and its users’ need. Our new capabilities will enable us to look across vectors, including electricity, natural gas and hydrogen, and crucially consider the trade-offs between them.

The organisation will be set up as a public corporation with its own Board of independent directors, with complete operational independence from government, the regulator and any and all commercial interest. As the ESO are today, NESO will be licenced and regulated by Ofgem through price control agreements and obligated to identify optimal solutions to system operations and planning in the most sustainable, affordable and secure way for all.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Supporting the Head of Talent, Capability & DEI in the effective running of the team, e.g. by organising team meetings and events, coordination of the team’s skills matrix and general team coordination activities as required.
- Managing the team’s annual events calendar, including external engagement events and activities, benchmarking processes and internal comms plans.
- Supporting the Early Careers team through the co-ordination of a range of activities including preparation and onboarding activities for the early career’s cohorts, keep warm activities & induction, coordinating and ordering IT Equipment and DSE requirements, arranging early careers schemes travel & accommodation, making arrangements for external visits, e.g. arranging PPE; supporting leavers processes.
- Supporting the Capability team with a variety of tasks relating to the running of NESO’s learning and development function, including setting up new courses on the learning system, reporting on learning activities, take-up, and evaluation, supporting tender processes with learning providers, coordinating leadership development programmes and modules, managing new starters and leavers LinkedIn Learning accounts.
- Supporting the DEI team with the delivery of the Belonging Strategy, including development and maintenance of the equality impact assessment record and reporting data, support to the ERGs and Belonging Forum with ad hoc events and comms and events organising.
- Dealing with ad hoc requests and queries relating to all team activities and.box triage
- Co-ordinating team procurement processes e.g., new supplier set up on Coupa

- Experience of working in a similar environment (Either Early Careers, Capability or DEI Teams).
- Understanding of Coupa and purchase orders.
- Experience of liaising with senior members of staff.
- Strong organisation, co-ordination and administrative skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

**What you'll get**:
