Draughtsman/woman

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Draughtsperson/Surveyor to join our well-established and successful steel fabrication business based in Cowdenbeath. Projects undertaken are varied and include the likes of industrial access steel (stairs, hand rails, walkways, platforms), secondary steelwork as well as steel framed buildings and other bespoke steelwork too.

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce material take off, general arrangement & fabrication drawings using AutoCad, experience with Autocad Advanced Steel advantageous.
- Conduct site surveys & attend site meetings
- Assist and support other members of the Management Team
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings
- Raising RFIs as needed to clarify technical queries
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standard of quality

**Skills**:

- Experience with CAD software for creating fabrication drawings in structural or secondary steelwork
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Education
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
