**Financial and Benefits Management Lead**:
**Salary: Grade 9 (£56,021 - £64,914 p.a. depending on experience)**

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

**The University of Leeds has a new and ambitious strategic plan. You will join an influential team playing a pivotal role in supporting senior leaders across the University in the implementation and delivery of the plan for transformational change.**

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Management Reporting but working in close liaison with the Director of the Transformation Office (TO), you will support the successful delivery of transformational change across the University, providing leadership as a central source of financial & benefits management excellence.

You will lead the financial management of the University’s change portfolio. This will involve setting, implementing and embedding a University wide framework, approach and standards for portfolio and project financial management, governance and reporting. You will provide financial oversight of the portfolio, contributing to prioritisation activity, and provide regular portfolio reporting and forecasting.

You will use your knowledge and experience of Benefits Management principles to define, implement and embed a framework to assure the delivery of business benefits across all change programmes.

You will provide scrutiny and positive challenge across key initiatives to ensure that business case financials have been prepared and presented on an appropriate and robust basis, and to ensure that agreed methods, processes and tools are consistently applied and tailored where appropriate.

Your ability to build strong relationships will be crucial along with the experience to constructively engage, advise and influence senior programme and finance managers. You will need to build internal networks and leverage external networks to be effective in this dynamic role. You will need an ability to balance priorities, engage with multiple programmes of work and build a contextual understanding of Higher Education.
