**Job Description Summary**

As Executive Housekeeper, your role is hands on, providing support and assistance to your team members, inspecting work on a daily basis to ensure our high standards are met. You will lead by example, setting high standards, communicating business goals, setting daily deadlines and budgets, monitor staff performance with management team, and on occasion perform housekeeping duties when required.

**Responsibilities**
- Manages the day to day running of the department
- Assists in the recruitment process with the Hotel Manager & Assistant Hotel Manager
- Holds daily meetings with Managers & Supervisors
- Attends weekly operational meetings and resolving any guest complaints.
- Ensures the payroll of the department does not exceed budget using a weekly, monthly, and yearly forecast
- Maintains all hotel rooms, public areas and back of house areas recognising areas that need cleaned, and ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness are met.
- Supervises team members in duties and performance, spot checking bedrooms and public areas, providing feedback where necessary
- Motivates, guides and mentors team members to exceed goals and creates a positive environment during shifts.
- Trains new team members in company standards and job duties
- Oversees work quality and verifies satisfactory meeting of company and regulation standards.
- Works with management to set and evaluate stock levels, projects, and overall goals.
- Strictly adheres to deadlines by communicating expectations to team members, setting goals and motivating team members.
- Creates and maintain good working relationships within the department and with other departments such that a high level of morale is maintained.
- Follows all the policies and procedures, special events, further improvement policies and guest comments.
- Authorises purchasing and invoicing of supplies, within agreed budget.
- Maintains the housekeeping equipment in a good working state and report any issues.
- Responsible for the timely return of cleaned guest laundry

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role essential
- Able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies within the department
- Strong Leadership and organisational skills
- Passionate about a clean environment
- Experience in training new Team Members
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good listener, with diplomatic skills
- Strong operational/technical knowledge

Must be available to work at weekends, evenings and on Bank Holidays

35 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, on a shift pattern.
