Having been in business for over 40 years we have created an innovative and highly regarded product range within the recreational, Commercial, Offshore, Water Rescue and Military diving sectors. We have seen year on year growth and have further exciting expansion plans in place, as a result we need to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.

- Basic salary 24k - 26k per annum
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
- Holidays - 23 days + Bank Holidays (Closed for Christmas break from Christmas Eve until New Year)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Day to day management of the finance function, including assistance with purchase / sales ledger / daily banking
- Credit control, issuing statements and raising credit notes
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Dealing with customer enquiries relating to invoices and statements as and when required
- Preparation of monthly bank account reconciliation
- Continuous improvement of controls and processes around the business
- Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
- Processing BACS payments and maintaining accurate records of authorisation
- Other general administration and financial tasks

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Is able to work flexibly and efficiently in order to meet deadlines
- An advanced proficiency with Excel
- Be able to organise and delegate within the team
- Ability to work alone and demonstrate initiative
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Strong working knowledge of SAGE would be advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
