Nottingham High School has a vacancy for an SSI and CCF Administrator working 20-28 hours per week to join the School as soon as possible.

The SSI will also be responsible for maintaining the MoD Management Information System WESTMINSTER for both adults and cadets. Also, responsible for ensuring the Army Cadet Safety Management System is strictly applied throughout. The SSI is also responsible for managing all aspects of the small bore range, weapons, armoury and ammunition and will be required to attend the Army and RAF Section annual camps, Bisley and tri-Service adventurous training.

Option 1, Full Year Round role (52 weeks)

Salary £16,429 - £23,000 (30,804 FTE)

Working between 20 - 28 hours a week, including Mondays (the exact hours to be discussed at interview)

Option 2 Term time only plus 6 weeks (42 weeks)

£15,402 - £21,000 28 hours term time only, plus 6 weeks

This role also qualifies for financial support from the MOD through VA (Voluntary Allowances) - a maximum of 52 per year.

**Key areas of responsibility**

Maintain records of the following:

- Security
- Training courses
- Officer and Cadet records on Westminster and Bader
- Transport, ration, ammunition, weapon, clothing and equipment requests
- Training programmes for all three Sections
- Off site CCF training activities including Camps, Courses, Exercises and Adventurous Training
- Weapon register and repair logs
- In liaison with the CC, process claims for pay for CFAV’s.
- Orders for new clothing
- Maintenance of clothing store rooms

Maintain all publications, pamphlets and regulatory manuals and inform staff of changes as appropriate.

Maintain an understanding of current Health and Safety regulations stemming from MoD and inform staff of changes as appropriate.

Act as liaison with sponsor unit, Mercian Regt, HQ7 Inf Bde and local Cadet Training Team.

**Security**
- Check and maintain Contingent Security Orders with CC.
- Maintain weapon and ammunition accounting, physical security, issues and serviceability.
- Be responsible for Conduct of Equipment Care and Mandatory Equipment Inspections as required.
- Maintain records and supervise the issue and return of weapons and ammunition.
- Act as Unit Security Officer.
- Monitor the distribution of keys.
- Brief CFAVs on current threats and MoD policy regarding security.
- Maintain responsibility for security of the CCF building, contents, alarm and other contingent assets.
- Act as first call out in the event of alarm or armoury issues.
- Conduct the annual Establishment Security Self Assessment with the CC.

**Training**
- Prepare CFAVs for Officers initial courses at Service HQs.
- Prepare CFAVs for Skill at Arms and Range Management Courses. At least one of Jo and Joe
- Prepare cadets for training courses.
- Assist the CC in the delivery of the Tri-Service NCO Cadre.
- Liaise with NCOs on matters of instruction, discipline and training
- Assist with the production and implementation of training programmes for all Sections.
- Assist in the delivery of shooting at all levels including staffing of the Senior Games shooting activity.
- Assist in the preparation of cadets to attend Bisley National Shooting events and attend the event as part of the staff team.
- Attend and take a leading role in Army, RAF, Bisley
- Adventurous Training Camps Overnight at least two, one through Field Days, one through trips.
- Army camp is to be given priority in cases of co-incident events.
- Provide planning assistance to CFAVs by the processing of all required military paperwork and liaising with service HQs in support of field days, annual camps and Bisley camp for the whole contingent.
- Provide instructional support to all three sections as part of standard Monday evening CCF sessions.
- Attend and provide planning assistance to CFAVs by the processing of military paperwork and liaison with service HQs miscellaneous CCF training events as required.
- With the CC, prepare the Contingent for its annual review and biennial inspection events and other public parades such as Remembrance Day and Armed Forces Day.
- Prioritise SSI Leader role on Monday night including weapons handling over admin and stores. Delegate Senior NCO’s and Section to admin.

**Range Management**
- Act as range warden ensuring cleanliness, serviceability and maintenance of indoor rifle range.
- Maintain responsibility for access and use of indoor rifle range by school staff, external contractors and other authorised users.
