**About the Role**

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Tutor to provide high quality coaching and guidance to apprentices within the construction sector, delivering effective Bricklaying training and coaching sessions both on-site and in classroom/remote setting ensuring the delivery meets the requirement of the apprenticeship standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Carry out meaningful interviews, inductions, initial assessments on learners to measure progress and identify actions and training needs.
- Ensure all learners have a full and comprehensive understanding of their training programme and individual learning plan through the process of induction, and regular visit/review/workshop schedules and their achievement plan.
- Plan and deliver progressive sessions that build on previous learning and provide evidence towards the standard, maths, and English and life skills as per delivery model and curriculum plan.
- Provide mentoring and IAG support to learners whilst in centre and on site.
- Conduct regular site visits with employers to review learner progress and prepare for end point assessment activities.
- Develop relationships with local employers to support existing and new apprentice learners.
- Be aware of issues surrounding Health and Safety/Safeguarding/Prevent and the work placement environment.
- Identify learners who are at high risk of disengaging and implement strategies to prevent this from happening.
- Support the quality of learning programmes by working with Quality Assurers to embed and promote best practice within teaching, learning and assessment.
- Provide and present reports as required.
- Use in-house systems to monitor and maintain attendance levels.
- Carry out any related administrative duties required enabling the smooth running of COPA Apprenticeship Programme.
- Participate in quality assurance processes, including internal and external audits.
- Promote the commitment to Safeguarding in line with the Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure.

- Ensure that all matters relating to Health and Safety are carried out in line with Company Policy and current legislation

- Undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Managing Director and commensurate with the level of the post.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Knowledge of assessment methods and techniques, including the ability to conduct fair and accurate assessments in Bricklaying
- Experience and background in Construction including Bricklaying and general site Health and Safety
- Hold relevant certificates within industry field at Level 3 or above
- Good level of Literacy and Numeracy Grade C or equivalent
- Creative and passionate for training/learning
- The ability to identify potential barriers and to plan strategies to overcome these barriers
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and spoken English
- Self-mot
