Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner

Ayrshire, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has extensive experience of working with clients in a Health & Social Care setting. You must provide evidence of previous learning and development at HNC or SVQ III in Health and Social Care or other equivalent qualifications.

You should have experience of assessment and management of patients with health-related conditions and have the knowledge and skills of how to progress exercises on an individual and group basis. You will help to support the Physiotherapist with their caseload while also being clinically responsible for your own caseload of patients.

An essential part of the role is to support health promotion and have an understanding of assisting people to live well with their MSK conditions. In order to do this, you will be required to be the MSK link person with community and charity organisations in the local area. You should have relevant experience within this area whilst having accurate and effective observation skills, which can be readily supported by good communication skills, both written and verbal.

You will participate in service improvement and service change. Digital health is a key driver in the future development of the MSK service and relevant knowledge in this would be advantageous.

You should have a proven ability to work as part of a team and have demonstrated previous experience of carrying out a broad range of delegated tasks.

The department has an excellent reputation for our quality of service, and commitment to professional development training and a strong multi-disciplinary culture. We offer an active in-service and appraisal programme for all staff to support personal development.
