**Key Responsibilities, tasks and outcomes**:

- Encouraging students to become independent learners and supporting their overall welfare.
- Providing 1:1 sessions using ABA.
- Interpreting and analysing data for student progress.
- Maintaining consistency and data analysis with a team of tutors.
- Liaising with BCBAs to report on the child's progress.
- Identifying the need for, preparing, and maintaining teaching materials, resources, and data sheets.
- Identifying short-term targets within BCBA-instructed programs.
- Offering 1:1 support within the classroom or in the home to promote inclusion and skill generalization.
- Using behaviour management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment and encourage cooperation.
- Understanding and implementing child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Providing 1:1 support at the family home and in community settings to support inclusion and skill generalization.
- Collaborating with BCBAs, class teachers, SENCO, and other professionals.
- Attending and participating in workshops and meetings.
- Committing to continuing professional development in ABA practice and theory.
- Undertaking necessary ABA training as required.
- Supporting a child to access the national curriculum using ABA principles.

**Person Specification**:

- Education to A level standard or recognized qualification.
- Demonstrated high level of competence in ABA/VB practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with young students and professionals.
- Flexibility in working with children and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient IT skills for supporting learning and maintaining electronic information systems.
- Willingness to learn new methods of teaching children with autism.
- Understanding of commitment to equality of opportunity in a special needs environment.
- Commitment to further training and professional development.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Commitment to providing a responsive and supportive service, always seeking ways to improve.
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to encourage and support students in reaching their full potential.
- Displaying patience, a calm demeanour, and an empathetic nature.

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
