**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. To ensure that the Grounds are tidy and pleasant taking pride in first impressions and general outlook

2. To be able to deal with day to day gardening issues, seasonal planting and development of a vegetable garden

3. To keep the lawns short and tidy at all times.

4. To keep the borders weed free at all times.

5. To maintain garden and central courtyard in a good state of repair

6. To report to the manager any damage to the external building or gardens at any time

7. To maintain garden equipment in a good working order and to ensure that the equipment is serviced on a regular basis

8. To carry out such cleaning of the drive and pathways as required, especially during the winter to ensure they are free from health and safety hazards

9. To understand the central heating system boilers and be able to troubleshoot in the absence of the Maintenance Officer

10. To carry out external general maintenance as requested with regard to the Health & Safety at Work Act.

11. To assist in the general hygiene of the external buildings, for example the refuse area.

12. to agree to any transport requirements as indicated by the Home Manger e.g. collecting prescriptions from the Pharmacy or GP Surgery

13. To undertake the delivery of specimens as requested by medical/nursing staff.

14. To undertake any other duties as and when required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.90 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
