**Customer Services (Shift work)**

**This role is renumerated at £12.41 per hour based on a 35 hour working week.**

**In this role you will be required to;**
- provide customer information as required- check tickets and supporting documents and issue tickets where required- ensure the safe operation at the Gateline including the surrounding areas- assist with customer direction and queue management to ensure control of any build-up of customers and ensure an appropriate passenger flow in each direction- general health and safety dutiesIn order to be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate resilience in what can be both a rewarding and challenging environment, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, be a team player and highly proactive.
Flexibility is key as you will be required to work shifts which will include some weekend working at an outside location in either central Edinburgh or Glasgow. Your standard working hours will be 35 hours per week, with the earliest shift starting at 0615 hours and the latest finish 0030 hours, with a 5/7 shift pattern.
Prior to commencement in this role full professional training and an induction will be provided covering; customer service, commercial skills, first aid, fire safety, disability awareness and conflict management. This will take place both in the classroom and using a buddy system.
Note this role is fully on-site, requiring you to work in a, close to, outdoor environment and is not a seated position.
