Qualified Grounds Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity in our Grounds Team and are looking to recruit a dedicated team player who has a strong sense of passion and pride in the work that they do.
The role is based across different sites and requires flexibility and adaptability to changing work patterns. The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Assist with preparing and maintaining football pitches to the highest standards.
- Assist in the renovations of pitches to maintain a high standard of playing surfaces at all times.
- Operating and caring for the ground’s equipment and machinery.
- Assisting with general maintenance of landscape areas and carrying out general ground duties.
This role will suit a person who strives for the highest standards, has a can-do attitude, and wishes to work as part of a team. We are also looking for:
- Minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in greenkeeping and groundman ship.
- Previous experience in all aspects of grounds keeping, working to a high standard looking after sports turf/playing surfaces and amenity landscapes.
- Experience in operating sports turf machinery.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 Spraying certificates is an advantage.
