**Salary**: £38000 - £42000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller seeking to join a well established successful Manufacturing business within Runcorn. The post holder provides a financial accounting service to UK entities, ensuring internally and externally reported financial information is timely, accurate and meets the needs of stakeholders whilst adhering to accounting standards and fiscal regulations.

**Key responsibilities & accountabilities**:
Prepare the annual statutory accounts and act as a key point of contact for the annual external audit process.

Prepare monthly input files

Prepare annual corporation tax data files, ensuring timely submission to external advisors, and responding to questions to ensure the accuracy of data.

Maintain and control provisions and exceptionals ledgers.

Maintain and control fixed asset ledgers including assets under construction and IFRS 16 leased assets.

Key skills & experience required

ACA/ACCA qualified.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.

An excellent understanding of financial reporting standards.

Familiarity with corporation tax rules and regulations.

High concern for standards whilst being able to perform efficiently ensuring tight deadlines are met.

Able to think analytically to review and improve reporting procedures.

Excellent inter-personal skills as the post holder will have contact with both external finance professionals as well as internal finance teams
