Bush House Care Home, based in Pembroke, is set in picturesque surroundings overlooking Pembroke Castle and the estuary. We are a home for 36 residents predominantly with a dementia diagnosis. A position has become available for an experienced Care Assistant looking to progress to a senior position or someone who already has experience as a Senior Care Assistant.

Shift pattern is 7am-7pm

**Key Responsibilities**
- To act as a role model to all staff on shift.
- To promote best practice in all aspects of the home’s care delivery; this is to include care of the environment, furniture and equipment.
- To provide complete personal care for residents with Dementia over 65.

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**
- NVQ level 2/Level 2 Diploma or higher (desirable but can be working towards)
- Administration of medication (full training and certification given)
- A general understanding of health and safety at work, principles and practice of care of the elderly and/or dementia care, and some understanding of supervising staff.
- Must have a down-to-earth approach and be able to work well under pressure.

Full training for the job is provided.

**Salary**: £12.54 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pembroke: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
