Specialist Dietitian

An opportunity has arisen to join the team of over 30 Dietitians in the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian. This post will offer a wealth of experience across a range of clinical areas, with a focus oncritical care, surgery, gastroenterology and stroke (acute and inpatient rehabilitation). This post is based at Scarborough Hospital, in the picturesque Yorkshire coastand in close proximity to the cultural city of York and North York Moors.

We are looking to recruit a Dietitian with experience in these areas, or a Band 5/6 who is keen to gain knowledge and experience in these specialties.

This post sits within a supportive Dietetic department comprising of other Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners and Dietetic Support Workers. Clinical leadership is provided by Band 7 Advanced Clinical Specialist Dietitians and Professional Lead. Operational support is provided by the Team Manager and the Senior AHP Operational Manager.

The post holder will be a key member of the critical care, surgical, gastroenterology and nutrition multi-disciplinary teams at Scarborough and the stroke MDT at the York and Bridlington sites. You will be primarily based at Scarborough Hospital, but will also be required to travel to York and Bridlington Hospitals on a regular basis.

The ability to transport yourself across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy.
