An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward administrator within Acute Paediatrics to provide secretarial and administrative support to the senior Nursing Team.

The post holder will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Sisters of acute paediatrics and deputies, acting as personal assistant, with additional support for meetings with the Senior Nurse Manager.

To act as first point of contact for all non-clinical issues on behalf of the Senior Sister.

The post holder will be self-motivated and hard working with a flexible approach to work and a readiness to learn about all aspects of role.

This post offers an ideal opportunity to use administration skills to support senior sisters in all the clerical and administrative aspects of acute paediatric within a busy healthcare setting, to make a difference for staff and ultimately patient care. Including all ESR, allocate and data systems.

The successful applicant will provide support to the Senior Nursing Team in a professional, efficient and confidential manner, demonstrating a high level of adaptability and flexibility within the role.

Complex diary management is part of the role which will include being able to prioritise at very short notice, due to constantly changing circumstances.

We require someone who is enthusiastic and motivated and able to work to a very high standard of accuracy. An exceptional eye for detail and excellent organisational skills are also essential for this role and you will be expected to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the work of the Senior nursing team.

Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial and you will be required to develop effective relationships with a wide range of staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
