The Children’s Literacy Charity is a registered charity working alongside primary school pupils who struggle to read and write. Our vision is to close the literacy gap for all disadvantaged children, enabling them to achieve their true potential.

We are looking for 3 x **Senior Literacy Intervention Tutors **and 3 x **Literacy Intervention Tutors **for our Literacy Labs in North West London (NW10). The roles are part-time, two days a week and term-time only. You will be tutoring primary aged pupils on a one-to-one or one-to three basis on their phonics and literacy skills using our own multisensory programme.

The ideal applicant will be:

- GCSE A*-C or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience of working with or looking after primary aged children (and QTS or teaching experience is desirable for the Senior role)
- Able to demonstrate empathy, understanding and patience towards children who are experiencing learning difficulties
- A good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to reliably get to a school/schools in the NW10 area

Salaries:
**Senior Literacy Intervention Tutor**:

- £23,700 FTE (£9,480 actual salary)

**Literacy Intervention Tutor**:

- £21,000 FTE (£8,400 actual salary)

The roles are for an academic year from September 2024 until July 2025, with the potential for extension.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £21,000.00-£23,700.00 per year

Expected hours: 14 per week
