OBM are currently recruiting for a Gantry Inspector on behalf of our leading Oil and Energy service client. This is a permanent role with a shift pattern of 7 days on/ 7 days off and will be based in Aberdeen.

**Job Purpose**
Responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound cargo, recording and reporting non -conformances.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
General:

- Inspect all cargo delivered to the gantry in accordance with OGUK Best Practice Safe Packing and Handling of Cargo to and from Offshore Locations and ASCO Global Operating Procedure
- Check off cargo against cargo summary ticket
- Ensure all cargo complies with client shipping matrix
- Accurately record all discrepancies and raise non-conformances and SIDs as required
- Liaise with Shipping Controllers and other quayside personnel as required
- Liaise with delivery drivers to ensure correct documentation is used
- Confirm dangerous goods documentation and labelling as correct
- Take part in effective LiveSafe conversations before commencement of job task and or when conditions change
- Conduct Live Safe Interventions (LSI) and record for inclusion on base scorecard
- Attend and contribute to monthly safety meetings
- Regularly review procedures, work aids and risk assessments
- Ensure the correct use of Forklifts and Lifting equipment as set out in legislative and procedural policy; If authorised to carry out lifting activities (Forklift Operations / Banksman & Slinger duties), ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Group Operating Procedures and Global Lifting Procedures
- Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken

**Minimum Qualifications**
- 5-15T Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck
- Banksman Slinger certificate - OPITO Stage 1
