Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Planning Engineer to join their client based in South Wales.
Reporting to the Section Engineering Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide leadership and support to the Carbon Department. The role is to provide engineering expertise as well as ensuring work can be produced at optimised levels in order to manageboth the current and future demands of the site.
A fundamental aspect of the role is to improve all maintenance productivity and quality by efficient planning, including coordination of spares and labour resources.
The role is vital to the department meeting and achieving its annual plan in respect to statutory outages under PSSR, DSEAR and COMAH. Ensuring weekly and maintenance period planning and scheduling activities are implemented and supported to the agreed standard.
Job Duties:

- Processing and managing of SAP work orders as directed and controlled by the planning process and the quality management systems.
- Responsible for improving efficiency and capability of the assets and must liaise with bot members of the cross-functional team and contractors.
- Working in partnership with the upstream and downstream partners and that the assets are managed to provide maximum efficiency.
It is essential you have a demonstrable background of an engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, sustainable operational excellence, preventative maintenance techniques, planning and implementing maintenance stops, reacting to faults and breakdownsand dealing with contractors.
