**Working Pattern**: This role is mainly remote with the exception of visiting the London office twice per week so is great for those looking for flexibility in their work.

**The Role**:
My client is looking for a **Back End Engineer** to join their fast-growing AI team. This is a great opportunity to join an established and forward-thinking organisation and to make a real impact in this exciting industry.

The successful **Back End Engineer** will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying backend systems to enable the AI and machine learning algorithms to run faster, more efficiently, and more accurately.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years of experience in Back End engineering.
- Strong understanding of software development and system design.
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages such as Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL and NoSQL.
- Experience using an ORM framework.
- Worked in an Agile environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- A passion for AI and machine learning.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop and deploy backend systems to enable AI and machine learning algorithms to run faster, more efficiently, and more accurately.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain high-quality software.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues.
- Monitor, analyse and optimise the performance of the system.
- Utilise DevOps tools to automate processes.
- Ensure software is developed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in technical discussions and reviews.
- Provide technical guidance to the team.
