**Based in Haddington, near Edinburgh and possibility of working from home 1 day per week.**
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the ERP Consultant will be responsible for the effective administration, configuration, and maintenance of the ERP platform and IT Network. The ERP Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the ERP system while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business processes.
Main
**Responsibilities**:
**System Administration**:
- Administer and configure ERP Platform to meet organizational requirements.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Create and manage a change management log including purpose, justification and approval of change.
- Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.
**Customization and Configuration**:
- Customize and configure Business Central based on business needs.
- Develop and implement customizations, extensions, and integrations as required.
- Liaise with 3rd party interface partners.
**Data Management**:
- Oversee data migration and integration processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the system.
- Manage and administer backup and recovery in conjunction with outsourced network support.
**Security**:
- Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
- Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities.
- Ensure system safety and manage access rights to the system.
**User Support and Training**:
- Provide user support and training to ensure effective utilisation of Business Central.
- Create documentation and training materials for end-users.
**Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to understand and address business requirements.
- Work with external developers and other IT staff to implement system enhancements.
- Work with departmental managers to create, enhance, audit and launch reporting requirements across the functions.
- Liaise with external Network support company.
- Ensure all hardware meets system requirements for each department.
**Upgrades and Patch Management**:
- Stay informed about the latest updates and features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
**Monitoring and Reporting**:
- Monitor system health, generate reports, and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
Authorities, Interface, Reporting and Supervision
- Direct report to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Liaise with department managers to agree improvements and requirements.
- Interface with external IT support companies to maintain the integrity of the ERP system, network and IT infrastructure.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
- Ensure that the company HSEQ policies and practices are adhered to.
- Comply with applicable requirements of the HSE system.
- Maintain a high standard in HSE attitude and behaviour.
- Report any observed unsafe actions and conditions.
**Skills, Knowledge and Attributes**
- Proven experience as a NetSuite Administrator or in a similar ERP administration role.
- In-depth knowledge of NetSuite ERP..
- Strong understanding of ERP system architecture, configuration, and customisation.
- ERP implementation experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to learning and development.
