Driver Mate Volunteer

We’re looking for drivers mate volunteers to visit our charity shops, recycling and food partner premises to assist our Drivers with delivering and collecting and dropping off stock and new goods. You would also help with a small amount of paperwork.

This role is based from our main Warehouses in Jenkins Dale Chatham and our large Charity Store in Chatham and covers various locations in Medway & Ken

This is a good opportunity to find out more about the breadth and depth of the work carried out by not-for-profit organisations in Medway; to develop your communication skills, knowledge and valuable work experience and knowledge.

**Duties Include**:

- Collecting and dropping off donations of food, recycling items and various other items including furniture.
- Support our drivers with various tasks to help speed up the whole delivery, dropping off processes.
- Small amount of paperwork to ensure we record collections and deliveries accurately.
- Communicate and perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions and in a timely manner.
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and our causes.

Please note this work is physically strenuous and involves a lot of manual handling. A good state of physical health is needed.
