Traffic Marshall

Vitacress Salads, based in St Mary Bourne, Andover is one of the leading salad and watercress suppliers in the UK. With our own salad leaf farms we really can claim a field to fork operation. We grow, wash, pack and distribute salad and watercress for retailer own brands and our own brand Steve’s Leaves.

We are looking for a **Traffic Marshall. **You will work on a 4 on / 4 off shift from 6.00am to 6.00pm.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and controlling all traffic and pedestrian movements, in & out, of our site at St Mary Bourne for VSL & third party delivery vehicles & equipment

You would be joining us at a very exciting time as we are making a significant investment to upgrade our factory.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Traffic Control - directing the movement of vehicles on site.
- Recommending and laying out safe, on site traffic systems.
- Providing clear, correct and safe directions to vehicle and machinery operators including pedestrians.
- Ensuring tasks and practices are being carried out safely by all personal and visitors.
- Seal Control
- Clandestine Control
- Oversea lorry bay docking - Intake and Despatch
- Padlock Bay Security
- Yard Housekeeping

**Experience, skills and competencies**:

- Health & Safety Law on Traffic Management
- Traffic Risk Assessment
- Understand the responsibilities of a Traffic Marshall/Banksman
- PPE & Safety Signs Knowledge
- HSE Hand Signals
- Assessment Skills
- Conflict Handling

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Andover, SP116DB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
