**Job Type**:Permanent, Term Time only (plus inset days), 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45am - 3:15pm

(Possible flexibility with start / finish times and days). Flexibility to attend concerts, open days and trips would be beneficial.

With excellent transport links and only 30 minutes by train to central London stations, the College is 20 minutes' drive from junction 25 of the M25, immediately off the A10. Also within easy access is London Stansted airport, which is a 20-minute drive.

**The Role**

Supporting the students, parents and staff involved in the musical and co-curricular life of the College. To work closely with all members of the Department and wider college community to promote, develop and celebrate Music and the Arts at St Edmund's. Carry out timetabling of instrumental, singing and LAMDA lessons as well as administration work to help with the smooth running of this busy and thriving department.

**Responsibilities include**
- To be the first point of contact for the Music Department and to communicate with and assist pupils, parents and staff involved in the musical and co-curricular life of the College.
- To organise all Music (ABRSM, Trinity and LCM) and LAMDA examinations: to enter students, organise accompaniment and act as steward.
- To assist with organisation of events such as concerts, recitals, trips and tours. Creating programmes, organising transport and catering.
- Educated to A Level Standard.
- Administrative experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills (including excellent verbal and written communication skills)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to use own initiative and prioritise workload.
