We are currently looking to recruit Production Shift Coordinator for our Cable manufacturing facility in Wrexham. This role is to support the Area Managers in leading the production teams. This is done through the area Team Leaders, within a task orientated working environment using key performance indicators to increase operational performance, safety and efficiency in line with Manufacturing strategy.
This role will be working on a 5 team shift roster of 2 days then 2 nights (7am-7pm/7pm-7am) with 18 day breaks (see below for more detail)

- Staggered 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 2 days then 2 nights (7am-7pm/7pm - 7am)
- Every 10 weeks or 7 blocks on, there is an 18 day break
- There are 5 x 18 day breaks within the rostered year

Job Requirements- Provide visible direction and leadership to enable the team to deliver against Key Performance Indicators.- Work in partnership with other Shift Co-ordinators, Team Leaders and departments to ensure communication, information flow and that workflow is achieved effectively.- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to site Health, Safety and Environmental policies.- Maintain housekeeping standards.- Support the Area Managers to ensure availability of suitably skilled labour to meet production requirements through the co-ordination of overtime, absence cover etc.- Support site quality standards.- Undertake root-cause problem solving, using an analytical approach to identify and resolve cause of problem, not symptoms.- Support the team to safely carry out either planned or unplanned maintenance, at the appropriate level, to ensure plant availability and reliability.- Ensure that comprehensive end of shift handovers are completed to drive efficiency.- Provide structured feedback to Area Managers on team performance, conduct and standards including losses, improvements and risks.- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required to support business objectives.- Attend and add value to the structure of daily production meetings- Work with the area managers to develop the role on-going
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, the job holder will possess the ability to lead, motivate, co-ordinate and direct Team Leaders and Production Operators to achieve departmental targets and objectives. Training and Support will be provided.
