**Description**:
General Technician Electrical (GTE) Supervisor: As the Support Engineering Section (SES) Electrical Supervisor, you are responsible to the OC Engineering Flight through the Trade Manager (TM) SES and Senior NCO (SNCO) SES for the supervision of all electrical work and the completion of its associated tasks.
- Advising TM SES of any problems that arise with respect to workforce that may adversely affect the efficiency of SES.
- The supervision of SES (Gen Tech Elect) and the completion of its associated tasking, to include maintenance, modification and repair of Airfield Support Equipment (ASE) and Ground Training Aids whilst maintaining all relevant maintenance or repair documentation.
- Maintaining a register of all GTAs on the excel spreadsheet, including electrical equipment, and ensuring that these items are maintained on time. Any defects are to be correctly documented and the repair process prioritised and carried out in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring the electrical maintenance, modification and rectification of ASE is properly controlled and maintained via the JAMES control systems and GTA/Racking Maintenance Spreadsheets.
- Supervising all SES electrical Service and Civilian personnel, ensuring that they acquaint themselves with all relevant and up to date orders and procedures and sign their engineering authorisations as having done so on arrival and annually.
- Correct preparations of electrical items for return to 2nd/3rd/4th Line, including all relevant documentation.
- The maintenance and cleanliness of the SES workshop and associated equipment used in the performance of your duties.
- Complying with current Health & Safety procedures, fire regulations, TPM, Unit Quality Policy and other applicable regulations in the execution of their duty.
- Controlling Fuel and Lubricants and COSHH within the work area.
- Developing and mentoring the SES GTE personnel in your area of responsibility.
- The maintenance of engineering standards and practices within the SES electrical workshop areas and laboratories.
- Supervise and carry out the design and installation of temporary electrical equipment.
- Supervise all SES maintenance and rectification tasks within the Electrical Training Section Battery Charging Facility.
