**Butcher Apprentice**

Hours fpr the role are 40 hours any 5 days out of 7 will include weekends shift times 8am to 5pm,

As a business we pay above the Government NMW for apprentices.

The Butcher Apprentice will be working alongside our highly experienced team whilst working towards obtaining a Level 2 Butcher Apprenticeship qualification.

Throughout the apprenticeship the Butcher Apprentice will be coached on the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to become a product expert, whilst offering exceptional service to delight our customers.

**The Role**

Spread across 24 months, you’ll learn what it takes to be a Butcher within a fast-paced retail environment. You will learn to recognise different products, cuts of meat and understand the differences between these - ultimately being able to break down whole carcasses where required.

You’ll gain a solid knowledge of product rotation and date checking, as well as understanding what an attractive counter display looks like and developing your own style with this.

The role will enable you to develop excellent customer service skills and understand what it truly means to make anything possible for our customers. There will be a requirement for you to serve at the deli counter with meat and dairy products and any of our foodhall and retail products.
