We are recruiting for an experienced and professional MIS & Compliance Officer to join an award-winning sector leading education provider based in the Birmingham.

This niche company leads their industry in offering bespoke and quality driven courses to learners across the West Midlands. Lead by a team of talented individuals that have their learner's wellbeing and career aspirations at the centre of everything they do. This role offers a mixture of office and remote working, where free city centre parking is also available.

Working within a busy mis/compliance admin department, as a compliance lead you will contribute to the development, performance and maintenance of the compliance activities of the organisation.

You will offer advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to learner journey documentation from enrolment to certification. In addition, you should understand the funding rules and the monitoring guidance set out by the ESFA and ensure the data in the ILR is correct and meets all requirements for government funding.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead upon the compliance responsibilities and obligations of the organisation including development, performance, and maintenance.
- Contribute to compliance with legal/statutory and professional responsibilities and obligations relating to ESFA funding monitoring rules.
- Assist in achieving complete compliance management systems in accordance with organisation plans and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures.
- Assist with the responsibility for performing all compliance duties in relation to the requirements of prime funders.
- Assist with risk assessment, audit review, monitoring and managing compliance within the organisation.
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to the organisation with regards to compliance.
- Assist with ensuring that the organisation meets all appropriate compliance (legislative and objective) and that appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
- Develop an understanding and awareness the company's products and services and keeping up to date with changes and developments within ESFA funding rules and monitoring.

Experience required
- Current experience of working within a compliance function within an education and skills establishment
- Contributing towards compliance management and control
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft suite
- Analysing and interpreting information quickly
- Working within a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of compliance management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lead on compliance audits from funders
