College Safety Officer

Leyland, United Kingdom Group Eleven Full time

Hours: 8:15am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday in a FE College

**Responsibilities**:

- Guiding students and visitors and giving directions
- Patrol assigned areas and ensure the security and safety of the premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a security officer or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of security procedures and protocols is a plus
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
