Job Title: Club Steward

Brief Job Description: The County Club is a Private Members Club located in the historical area of King Square. Bridgwater.

The role includes the purchase and procurement of food including the preparation and serving of lunch time meals from the established kitchen between the hours of 10.30 to 14.30 - Monday to Friday.

As Steward you will be responsible for the following;
- _Daily Lunch time menu of varied hot and/or cold meals, including sandwiches._
- _Monthly Black Tie Dinner & Friday Lunch._
- _Sunday Lunches held three to four times a year._
- _Clubs Golfing Society monthly evening meal._
- _Snooker Matches usually two meals per month._
- _Other Club social events which would be held in discussion with the Committee._
- _Maintain Bar & Catering Stock, serve refreshments including tea & coffee._
- _Tables in the Bistro & Dining Area to be laid daily ready for use._
- _Ensure that the kitchen, Lounge, Dining Rooms including other areas used by the members are kept clean & tidy._
- _Safe working practice and to keep the necessary documentation in accordance with the Food Safety Act, Health & Safety at Work Act and the associated regulations required by Sedgemoor District Council._

Within the club there is a requirement to provide additional meals & bar services for various activities through-out the year, these are normally on a monthly basis either in the evening or occasionally on a weekend. The Steward will be required to organise the food, set the menu, organise additional staff when required and work within an agreed budget.

What we are looking for;
A Competent Steward who has a positive attitude, good communication skills and above all a cheerful personality.

An individual who can manage their own work schedule, be responsible for the purchase and procurement of food, administration duties including the replenishment of bar stock.

Along with the lunch time catering requirements there will also be organised social events where additional staff will be required for the catering and bar services.

Renumeration: The Steward will be paid a weekly retainer (to be discussed at interview) but will retain the net profits from the food sales.

Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
