The College is seeking an enthusiastic Mental Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator to provide support to the Group Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager.

If so, we are looking for an exceptional team player to join our Mental Health & Wellbeing team of counsellors and mental health advisers. This is an opportunity to join the team in an exciting stage of its development. We were named as a Commended College in the AoC Beacon Awards this year for our work in mental health and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, and will have recognised professional qualifications and experience. You will demonstrate effective interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills. You will have significant experience of offering mental health interventions and providing confidential services. You may also have experience of delivering training and providing supervision. You will have experience of working with individuals from different cultures, disabilities, sexual orientations and ages, preferably within an education setting.

This Co-ordinator role is a new role so there is opportunity to shape our service provision and delivery across the group, working closely with the Group Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager. Being resilient and confident to work autonomously is key. You would be based at our Ardleigh Green campus and Rainham campus in Havering and travel additionally to other campuses as required.

The duties and responsibilities include working face-to-face with a caseload of students studying at our Ardleigh Green and Rainham campuses. As such, you will triage clients to the appropriate service, ensuring the safeguarding of all learners. You will provide short term mental health advice to individual learners for whom this would be beneficial to their wellbeing and success in their studies. You will provide drops ins and regular focused group work. You will liaise with independent guidance services and external agencies to ensure learner access to appropriate internal and external referral sources.
