**Salary**: £22,183 per annum

**Our Yard Operatives are responsible for;**
- Ensuring that all equipment due to leave has a Pre-Hire Inspection completed and is clean both internally and externally.
- Effective communication with Transport Department regarding the receiving and dispatch of all equipment.
- Ensuring that all forklift trucks both electric and internal combustion are stored and controlled correctly and that they are charged and in running order.
- Hygiene and Safety of the Yard/Warehouse area onsite.
- Rotation of all equipment onsite.
- Ensuring that all equipment due to leave the site for hire are cleaned and checked prior to leaving.
- Ensuring that all equipment leaving site for hire has a Pre-Hire Inspection completed and tag applied to equipment.
- Assisting in the loading/unloading of equipment onto Balloo Hire vehicles ensuring safe working practices are adhered to and keeping yard traffic moving.
- Assisting in the refueling of all machinery returned via the transport dept.
- Ensuring customers are directed to safe parking/loading at all times.
- Forklift truck license essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
