K&T Heating are looking for quality control inspectors to work with our domestic gas team within the health and safety department, this is a new department within K&T Heating and this is such an exciting time to join our team This is a perfect position for anybody looking to come off of the tools slightly and somebody who has vast knowledge on service & repairs.
MUST HAVE ACS FOR THIS ROLE.
Purpose of the Role/Role Overview: To validate the work of all engineers and ensure it is performed to the required standards as set out by the Gas Regulations, Manufacturer’s Instructions, Gas Safe, and K&T company policies. General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting WIP and post inspections on new and all existing engineers to ensure compliance of all company processes, in line with industry legislation.
- Assess the engineer in related aspects of their role with regards competent work practises, fault finding ability (where applicable), quality, compliance and customer focus
- To ensure that QC’s are undertaken in line with the company’s contractual obligations. **Lead by example and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with regards safety and quality of works completed**
- To identify any gaps in knowledge/skills and feed back to line managers where additional training is required.
- To ensure all engineers are complying with all the health and safety requirements of the business and any equipment issued is fit for purpose without any defects, this will include PPE, Vehicle and ladder tag checks
- Assist in the continued support and monitoring of targeted engineers, and provide constructive recommendations to line managers with regards any ongoing training/upskilling requirements where appropriate
- Maintaining expertise & knowledge of relevant legislation & technologies.
- Work alongside the SHEQ team (Safety and Health) to ensure audit compliance targets are met
- Collating reports on safety visits and inspections and ensuring records are maintained and kept.
